MCP server

Ask your AI assistant what a used PC part actually sells for, or whether an eBay listing is a good price. The answers come from the same eBay sold-price data as the rest of pcprice.watch. Free, read-only, no account or API key.

Server URL (Streamable HTTP)

https://www.pcprice.watch/check/mcp

Connect it

Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, then paste the server URL. Leave the OAuth fields empty.

Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http pcprice https://www.pcprice.watch/check/mcp

Cursor, in ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "pcprice": {
      "url": "https://www.pcprice.watch/check/mcp"
    }
  }
}

VS Code, in .vscode/mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "pcprice": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://www.pcprice.watch/check/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Any other client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP works the same way: give it the server URL, no authentication.

Tools

All three tools are read-only. None of them buys, bids, posts or changes anything.

get_used_price

What a used part sold for on eBay: the median and the p25–p75 range in EUR over the last 30 and 90 days, with the number of sales. Prices are the item price only, without shipping.

  • model (required): e.g. RTX 3060, RX 7900 XT, Ryzen 7 5800X
  • country (optional): one of the markets we scrape, US, GB, DE, FR, IT, ES or PL. Leave it out to pool all seven; the answer then also includes the 30-day median per market.

Example answer for an RTX 3060 in Germany (trimmed):

{
  "model": "RTX 3060",
  "scope": "EBAY_DE",
  "used_30d": { "median_eur": 317.5, "p25_eur": 278.75, "p75_eur": 349.25, "sales": 28 },
  "used_90d": { "median_eur": 280, "p25_eur": 260, "p75_eur": 300, "sales": 100 },
  "page_url": "https://www.pcprice.watch/search/RTX3060/DE/GPU",
  "data_as_of": "2026-10-27T08:08:11Z",
  ...
}

check_ebay_listing

Is this eBay listing a good price? It identifies the model, works out the delivered price to the buyer's country, and compares it with what the same model sold for recently. The answer is a band (great, fair, above typical or overpriced), the percentage against the sold median, the sales it compared against, and cheaper live listings of the same model when there are any.

  • url (required): the listing link from ebay.com, ebay.co.uk, ebay.de, ebay.fr, ebay.it, ebay.es or ebay.pl, or an ebay.us / ebay.io share link
  • country: the buyer's two-letter country code, used for shipping and delivered price

list_tracked_models

The models we track, with their IDs. Optional part_type filter: GPU, CPU, RAM, MOTHERBOARD, PSU, LAPTOP or IPHONE.

Things to ask

  • What does a used RTX 3080 sell for in Germany right now?
  • Is this a good price? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/… (I live in the UK)
  • Which used GPUs do you have prices for? Show me the cheapest ones that sold in Poland.

Where the numbers come from

Sold and active listings from 7 eBay markets, collected every 8 hours, filtered by a per-category classifier and converted to EUR. Every answer carries data_as_of and a page_url on pcprice.watch you can open to check it. The full method is on the methodology page. The data is CC BY 4.0: quote it, and link the page.

Limits

  • Only parts we track: see list_tracked_models. Unknown models return an error that says so.
  • check_ebay_listing looks up the listing live on eBay, so it is rate-limited per client. If you hit the limit, wait a minute and try again.
  • Rare models can have few sales in a window; the sale count is always in the answer.

Privacy

The server only receives the tool arguments your assistant sends (a model name, a country, a listing link), never your conversation. There are no accounts. We count calls per tool, and use your IP address only for the rate limit and, when no country is given, to guess the buying country. Details are in the privacy policy.
