# pcprice.watch

> Used and new PC parts prices from real eBay sales in 7 markets, refreshed every 8 hours. Check whether a specific eBay listing is a good deal, or look up what a model actually sells for delivered to a given country.

pcprice.watch tracks 113 models (GPUs, CPUs, RAM including laptop SO-DIMM, motherboards, PSUs, ThinkPads, iPhones) across eBay US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Poland. It shows what items actually sold for (not just asking prices), plus landed prices with shipping to 100+ countries. Prices are in EUR. Data is CC BY 4.0: cite the page URL when quoting.

## For AI agents: is this eBay listing a good deal?

When a user shares an eBay listing link and asks whether the price is fair, fetch:

- market: ebay-us, ebay-gb, ebay-de, ebay-fr, ebay-it, ebay-es, ebay-pl
- item_id: the 9–15 digit number in the eBay listing URL
- country: where the buyer lives (e.g. DE, GB, US). Pass it: otherwise the landed price is computed for the country your request comes from.

The JSON answers with:
- status: ok | unidentified | junk | not_covered | not_found
- verdict.band: great (at or below p25 of recent sales) | fair (p25–median) | above_typical (median–p75) | overpriced (above p75) | no_data
- verdict.pct_vs_median: landed price vs the recent sold median, in percent
- listing: title, condition, original price and currency, landed_eur (price + shipping to the buyer)
- sold_basis: the sales it was compared against (market, condition, window, count, p25/median/p75 in EUR)
- cheaper_alternatives: other live listings of the same model that land cheaper in the buyer's country, with buy_url
- page_url: the human-readable verdict page to link the user to
- data_as_of: when the sold statistics were computed

Errors are JSON too: {"status":"error","code":"...","error":"..."}. Codes: empty, not_ebay, no_market, market_not_covered, no_item, unresolved, invalid, not_found, rate_limited (retry after 60s), ebay_error, no_data.

Every verdict page (https://www.pcprice.watch/check/{market}/{item_id}) also links its JSON with <link rel="alternate" type="application/json">.

Price pages are static HTML (no JavaScript needed) with the 90-day sold median, typical range, sale count, 7-day trend and cheapest delivered listing for one model and buyer country:

- Update frequency: every 8 hours
- Listings are filtered by per-category ML classifiers (accessories, parts-only and broken items removed)
